Rebecca Verrier is a powerhouse vocalist, actor, dancer who hails from Mauritius and was brought up in Australia. Rebecca has always been captivated by the great diva style performers including Edith Piaf, Etta James, Tina Turner and Aretha Franklin and was performing as a vocalist in Sydney clubs, winning competitions and working professionally (in both French and English) whilst still a teenager. Rebecca then studied at Brent Street Academy of Performing Arts before landing a dream role as lead vocalist for acclaimed production Burn The Floor, which toured the world.
Rebecca’s Australian musical theatre credits include Hair (The Production Company) and Footloose (GFO) plus she has created and performed in her own French cabaret show and tribute shows to Whitney Houston, Tina Turner and Diana Ross.
Rebecca has trained in London with the legendary singer Cleo Laine, and held residences for her own production shows in Macau, Shanghai and Hong Kong and recorded and released her original material.
On screen Rebecca has appeared as an actor in The Matrix 3 and in TV shows such as A Country Practice and Spellbinder. She has also performed as a dancer at the MTV Music Awards, as a featured vocalist performing songs from the James Bond movies at the Victor Chang Ball and sung the national anthem at the Australian F1 Grand Prix and for the Sydney Kings Basketball team.
Rebecca is in demand as an educator having taught music to all ages – from young children to masterclasses at universities in Sydney.
