Matthew Gode is a multi disciplinary artist residing in Sydney, Australia.
He is a choreographer, movement director, and stylist working in both dance and fashion industries respectively.

Matthew Gode is an Australian + USA based multi-disciplinary talent. Versatile and dynamic, he seamlessly navigates the realms of choreography, movement direction, and styling, leaving an enduring mark on both the global dance + fashion industries.

Having received training in classical and commercial dance styles at prestigious institutions like the Queensland Ballet Academy and Brent Street, Matthew has honed his craft to perfection. His choreographic style stands out with its unique fusion of fashion, visual art, and pop culture influences, creating captivating performances that push the boundaries of movement and storytelling.

RUSSH Magazine describes Matthew’s work as “instantly recognisable; an ability to communicate impactful storytelling through a seamless blend of experimental abstract shapes and movement within a pop lens. Not only is Gode in his own lane, he created it.”

Matthew has contributed work to prestigious Australian/international publications such as Vogue Australia, Vogue Living, Harpers Bazaar, GQ Australia, RUSSH, SHOWstudio, and Numéro Netherlands as well as worked with an additional extensive list of high end clients within the fashion space.

Matthew choreographed Bebe Rexha’s “Best F*n Night of My Life” tour which has graced stages all around the globe. He is the resident Australian choreographer for hip hop act Tkay Maidza as well as leant his vision to a number of other artists including Keiynan Lonsdale and Cobrah.

He himself has danced for international acts such as Katy Perry and Sam Smith.

In 2022 Matthew debuted “Gode” with The Dream Dance Company at Sydney Town Hall to rave reviews from head industry figures in dance, fashion, and art worlds.

Matthew’s exceptional talent and creative achievements have earned him well- deserved recognition from prominent online publications such as Vogue Scandinavia, RUSSH, i-D Asia, Pop Sugar, and the Sydney Morning Herald.
