Matthew Gode is an Artist driven by aesthetic.
Heavily inspired by fashion and visual art, he utilizes and refines modern movement to create a unique “Pop” dance style.
Trained in all forms of dance at the prestigious Queensland Dance School of Excellence and Brent Street in Sydney, Matthew is now an in-demand creative who has choreographed for stage and screen both nationally and internationally.
Matthew’s choreographic credits include: Television’s Dance Academy (ABC), music videos for Artists such as Armand Van Helden, Elk Road and Heart People, The BBC Australia launch plus numerous corporate and live events.
In the art world, Matthew’s work has been featured in Sydney photographer Byron Spencer’s “You” Artist Exhibition, Rock Photographer Tony Mott’s book launch in 2015, as well as in “OingoBoingo”, a gallery installation co-created with friend and fellow Artist Patric Kuo, held in DNA Projects Gallery in 2013. He has taught workshops throughout Australia and won several awards for his choreography in competitions.
Matthew’s creative eye is second to none and he is often called upon to contribute to other aspects of the projects he works on, beyond the movement. This is an Artist who continually strives to push the artistic boundaries whilst meeting and exceeding the clients’ needs.
