PJ is a key industry figure, with expertise across the broad spectrum of the entertainment industry and a reputation for excellence. His early professional career as a performer saw him engaged in leading musicals, including title roles in the production of ‘Joseph & His Technicolor Dream Coat’ and ‘West Side Story’.
PJ has toured extensively internationally, performing for royal performances, international television specials, television advertisements, music videos and corporate functions. His work as a model in fashion parades and magazine editorials, in addition to his other industry experience, show the breadth and variety of his experience and the versatility of his artistic talent.
Throughout his career, PJ has worked with event teams, advertising agencies, fashion stylists and choreographers at the forefront of their respective fields. His artistic flair and attention to detail ensure that each project is a resounding success.
Promoting local talent
PJ was vital to the establishment and construction of one of Australia’s most sought after agencies, Detour. During his time at Detour, PJ represented and mentored many high profile dancers, singers, actors, models and choreographers, shaping them into marketable talent with successful entertainment industry careers.
Innovative agency and consultancy: Jeep Management
Jeep Management was launched onto the industry scene in 2007 and has already enjoyed widespread success. Jeep Management offers a range of entertainment consultancy services, including specialist casting and entertainment consultancy, both nationally and internationally.
Jeep Management works in conjunction with Australia’s biggest event management teams and strives to produce and co-ordinate outstanding industry events. Jeep Management also provides state of the art talent consultancy services, booking talent for fashion & corporate events as well as film, television and print media.
Gen-Y and beyond
PJ is an active figure in educating the next generation in preparation for a career in the professional world of entertainment. PJ co-ordinates and hosts annual workshops for fresh young talent, both nationally and internationally.
In 2008, PJ established ‘Electric Safari,’ a unique educational experience for young performers looking to launch their career in the entertainment industry. Students of Electric Safari attend an intensive 5-day course and receive valuable, tailored advice and coaching about:
· casting and audition techniques to help them land that dream job
· how to use good grooming, flawless makeup and the right wardrobe to their advantage
· the importance of peak fitness and proper nutrition
· being “on camera”, and
· motivation and confidence building.
At the conclusion of the course, students receive a “Kick-Start Portfolio” on CD and USB drive. This pack contains everything they need to kick-start their career in the industry, including head and body photographs, a custom-made resume, and a current contact list of reputable agents.
PJ has also judged major talent & dance competitions, including Australia’s largest competition, ‘Showcase Dance Competition,’ held by The Supertalent Network P/L. The Showcase tours nationally with the finals taking place each year at Jupiters Casino on the Gold Coast.
In 2009, PJ will embark on an ambitious project in Cambodia. He and his creative team will include young children in educational workshops in the entertainment arts.
